Dorothy Lee Rhodes Bass, age 83, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017. She was born January 19, 1934 in Robeson County to the late James and Alvira Rhodes. She will be remembered for her years working as a CNA at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eldred Bass.

She is survived by two sons: Darrell "Derby" Bass and special friend Janie Smith of Lumberton and Jeff Bass and wife Jackie of Sanford; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Peggy Jenkins of Fairmont, Maudell Anderson of Wilmington, and Eunita Davis of Fairmont.

A time of visitation will take place prior to the service Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM in the Chapel with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will be private.
