Doris Horne Walters, age 75, of Supply, NC (formerly of Lumberton) passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 10, 1939 to the late Robert and Dora Herring Horne. She worked as a self-employed beautician. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Alton Lawrence Walters; brothers, David Horne, John H. Horne, and Robert C. Horne; and a sister, Ruby Marie Johnson. Mrs. Walters is survived by her husband, Alton George Walters of the home; daughters, Debra Ann Martin (husband, Jim) of Nashville, TN, and Melissa Kay Clemmons (fiancé, Daniel Duncan) of Supply; brothers, Kirk Horne of Supply, and Brice Horne of Brandon, FL; grandchildren, Jessica Clemmons, Kayla Clemmons, B.J. Clemmons and great-grandchild, Jayden Tyler; and a very special friend, Ann Hardin. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Thomas Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
