Mrs. Doris Ann Carmack Newberry, 80, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at her home. She was born in Booneville, KY on April 4, 1941 to the late Herman & Minnie Carmack. She was the owner and operator of Doug's Appliance & Repair.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Douglas Newberry; five brothers: Earl, Bill, Douglas, Harold, and Robert; three sisters: Margie, Bobbi Jean, and Ada; a stepdaughter, Marilyn Sparks; and a granddaughter, Pasha Stidham.

She is survived by three children: Carlos Abbott (Shelby) of Lumberton, NC, Debbie Wilkins (David) of Bladenboro, NC, and Dennis Newberry of Loveland, CO; two stepchildren, Deborah Stidman and Doug Newberry, Jr., both of Lumberton, NC; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and three brothers: Lloyd Carmack (Pat), Jimmy Carmack, and Jack Carmack, all of Ohio.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 12:30-2:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Larry Davis, Rev. Gary McMillan, and Rev. Tony Stevens officiating.

Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
