Doris Faye West Middlesworth, age 75, of Lumberton, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017. She was born September 5, 1942 in Robeson County to the late Fred West and the late Elizabeth Barnes Prevatte.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gilbert Prevatte.

She is survived by her children: James W. Middlesworth, Jr. and wife Lisa of Lawrenceville, GA and Mary Middlesworth Varner and husband Dave of Lumberton; three grandchildren: Wendy Gail Oxendine and husband Henry, Trey Middlesworth, and Jessica Middlesworth; five great-grandchildren: Destiny Middlesworth, Jaylon Oxendine, Alaina Oxendine, Aiden Arroyo, and Brooklyn Small; two brothers: Tony Prevatte of Lumberton and James Prevatte of Whteville; and one sister, Mary E. Hodges and husband Gene of Lake City, FL.

A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chip Bass and Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith.
