Doris Wray Evans Kirkland, age 78, of Lumberton, NC, died on Friday, October 5, 2018.  She was born in Bladen County, NC on January 10, 1940 to the late Wilbert Rufus Evans and the late Margaret Blackburn Evans. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kirkland was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr.Ed Kirkland.

Mrs. Kirkland is survived by her children, Ronald Ronson of Lumberton, Melessia Gant (Les) of Marion, Johnny Kirkland (Susan) of Long Island, NY, Wade Kirkland (Jennifer) of Lumberton, Kenneth Kirkland (Mollie) of Destin, FL, Darren Kirkland (Angie) of Kansas City, MO; brother, Bill Evans (Aundrea) of Toccoa Falls, GA; sister, Betty Little (Autrey) of Lumberton; twenty-eight grandchildren, twelve, great-grandchildren; and a lifetime friend, Dorothy Watts of Lumberton.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5 ^th Street in Lumberton.

The funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Evans officiating.
