Mrs. Doris Lee Allen, age 77, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019. She was born on September 12, 1941, in Robeson County to the late Robert Britt and Gladys Simms Britt.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Allen, Jr.; an infant son, Phillip Ray Allen; and one brother, Earl Britt.

She is survived by two sons, Homer Britt (Wanda) of Florida and Raymond Allen III (Katrina) of Pembroke, NC; two daughters, Susan Norris (Buster) of Lumberton, NC and Wendy Holden (Sam) of Rockfish, NC; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers: Jack Britt of Bladenboro, NC and Gene Britt and Clyde Britt, both of Lumberton, NC; and three sisters: Kay West and Mary Frances Tyner (Stanley), both of Lumberton, NC, and Sue Smith of Supply, NC.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral on Sunday, April 28, 2019, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, also in the chapel, with Rev. Tim Holden officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
