Dora Ivey Arnette, age 88, of Fairmont passed away Friday, October 30,2015 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2:00PM at Oakdale Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00pm-2:00pm prior to the service at the church. She was born August 21, 1927 in Robeson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Quincey Ivey and Ila Ivey Bass her husband, JD Arnette; a granddaughter, Nichole Lee. Ms. Arnette is survived by a daughter, Anita A. Thompson (Archie) of Fairmont; one sister, Inez Ivey of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Dave Adams (Kim) of Holden Beach and Richie Adams (Angie) of Fairmont; five great grandchildren, Peyton, Ashton, Hillori, Riley, and Presley; a nephew, Billy Ivey of Fairmont; two special friends, Herman Suggs of Loris,SC and Nanci Davis of Fairmont; and a host of relatives and friends.
