Mrs. Donnie Mae Caulder Snipes, age 89, of Fairmont, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on September 16, 1922 to the late Ewing and Lettie Caulder. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands and four children.

Mrs. Snipes is survived two sons, George A. Lane and wife, Jan of Bufton, SC and Tony Lane and wife, Peggy of Sumter, SC; one daughter, Janice Leggett of Fairmont; one brother, Edward Caulder of Lumberton; two sisters, Quessie Scott of Mt. Olive, NC and Polly Wagoner of Durham, NC; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, September 21, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel, 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont with Dr. Jesse Yarbrough and Rev. Jeff Register officiating. Burial will follow in Iona Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Fairmont.
