Donnie Ruth Locklear, 64, of 157 E Avenue, Lumberton, NC was born in Robeson County on June 2, 1945 and crossed over to the heavenly life on November 7, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernie Flag Locklear and Catherine Jacobs Locklear, and one sister, Nancy Louise Locklear and brother Delton Locklear.

She is survived by a son, James Teddy Locklear of Lumberton, NC; three daughters Vicky Smith and her husband Nathan Smith of Castle Hayne, NC, Nancy Locklear and Minnie Ellen Locklear both of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Vernie Autry Locklear and James \\"Jimmy\\" David Locklear both of Lumberton, NC; three sisters, Ruth Williams of Wade, NC, Rosa Moses and Jannie Jones both of Lumberton, NC; three grandchildren, Clarissa Locklear, Tedrick Locklear and April Locklear all of Lumberton, NC; and sixteen nieces and nephews and twenty-five great-nieces and nephews. She had two very dear life long friends, Greg Canady and Thesly \\"Shorty\\" Sampson and a very close 2nd cousin, Kirk Jacobs.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Smyrna Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Pevia officiating. Burial will be in Robeson Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
