Donnie Lee "Coopie" Cummings, age 65, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, in Falcon, NC. He was born June 2, 1956 in Robeson County, NC to the late Archie Cummings and the late Lula Mae Bartley Cummings. Coopie was a graduate of Fairgrove High School. During his school years, he played on the basketball team and other sports.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Archie "Big Boy" Cummings, Jr., Jimmy Earl Cummings, Donald "Duck" Cummings, and Junior Lee "Skeet" Cummings; four sisters: Sadie Rae Locklear, Darlis Cummings, Quessie Mae Strickland, and Dora Frances Oxendine; and a foster sister, Madeline Carol Hunt.

He is survived by his children: Timothy Wayne Hunt, Chris LaClaire, Shawn Jones, Archie Wayne Jacobs, Chassie LaClaire, and Lucindia Cummings; special friends, Bill & Dana Bailey and family; nine nieces: Cynthia Ann, Jenny Ann, Darlene, Annette, Sheila, Kawanna, Raquel, Courtney, and Reva; eight nephews: Gregory, Jimmy Earl, Jr., Archie, Donald Lynn, Dale, Shane, Brandon, and Bentley; several grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, Judy Cummings; and a host of cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Tyner officiating.
