Donna Carolyn Stephens Hunt, age 66, of Lumberton, NC passed away at her home surrounded by her family. Donna was born in Columbus County to James Nelson "J.N." Stephens and the late, Jessie Yarbough Stephens. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by Matt Stephens.

Donna will be most remembered for her love of her church, Wakulla Holiness Church, and her love of her Lord. She spoke often of His love and grace in her life. Donna loved animals of all kinds, especially her dogs, Angel and Buddy. Before her sickness she worked in Housekeeping at Southeast Regional Medical Center. Donna was an amazing cook. In years past, Donna and Richard shared a passion for dancing.

In addition to her father, Donna leaves to cherish her memory her husband and the love of her life, Richard Howard Hunt; daughter, Lynette Hunt; grandchildren: Brittany Nicole Hunt, Julius Matthew Hunt, and Toni Lancaster (Robert); great-grandchildren: Gage Karvey Hunt, Madison Brooks, Brianna Walters, Trevon Bethea, Graylon Hunt, Angel Lancaster, Winter Hunt, and Anna Lancaster; sisters: Joyce Jones, Susan Stephens, Jenny Stephens, and Tiffany Stephens; brothers: James Yarbough (Kathy), Junior Stephens, Terry Stephens, and Sammy Stephens; and a host of nieces and nephews along with many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 1:00-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow the visitation on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Pastor Frankie Bartley and Pastor Bruce Ransom officiating.  Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
