Donald Zane Russ, 37, of Tabor City, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Eva Russ and Mozell Carr; and grandfathers, Ronald Carr, Sr. and Levie Russ.

Some people leave footprints. Donald left tire tracks, laughter, and a lifetime of memories.

A devoted father to Liam, a loving son, cherished partner to Kristen, and loyal friend, Donald lived life with a fearless heart and a smile that could light up any room. A country boy through and through, he found peace on the water, joy riding four-wheelers, and purpose in talking cars, trucks, and anything with an engine. He loved going to auctions with his dad, and some of his most treasured moments were spent shopping, laughing, and making memories with his mom—the simple moments that became life's greatest gifts.

Donald never met a stranger. His infectious laugh, generous heart, and larger-than-life personality drew people in and made them feel like family. He loved deeply, laughed often, and embraced every adventure that came his way.

Though his journey here ended far too soon, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will never fade. His story lives on in every sunset over the water, every country road, every shared laugh, and every heart forever changed by knowing him.

He is survived by his parents, Debra Russ and Donald "Buck" Levie Russ of Tabor City; his son, Liam Oliver Parker of Tabor City; his fiancé and mother of Liam, Kristen Parker of Tabor City.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. 809 E. 5th Street. Lumberton, NC.

"Those we love don't walk away. They walk beside us every day—unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and always dear."
