Mr. Donald Emory Powers, 77, of White Oak, NC, was born in Raleigh County, West Virginia on September 25, 1935 and he passed away September 24, 2013 at Southeastern Hospice House of Lumberton. A Vietnam veteran, he proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He then worked for Goodyear Tire Company of Fayetteville for 23 years. Mr. Powers was also a member of Tar Heel Baptist Church of Tar Heel, NC. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie M. King and his stepfather, Durham King. He is survived by his wife, Janie Anderson Powers, of the home; his son, Donald E. Powers, Jr. and wife, Phyllis, of Bladenboro; his daughter Deborah Sealey and husband, Ronnie, of White Oak; three brothers, George Croft and wife, SoDak, of Branson, MO, David Mancos and wife, Kuyong, of Charlotte, and Steve Mancos and wife, Fran, of Tar Heel; four grandchildren, Kandace Green, Megan Bailey, Donald Powers, and James Donald Sealey; and one great-grandchild, Isabella Green.
