Mr. Donald Ray James, Sr. age 70, of Orrum, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Dillon County, SC on March 29, 1950 to the late Dixon James and the late Bernice Lane James. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was the previous owner-operator of M&J Gas Company.  He loved golfing, sport fishing, the Masonic Lodge, the Shriner's, beach music, but most of all, he loved his family and friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Craig Campbell and Michael Campbell.

He is survived by his children: BeBe Bollinger (Steve) of Lumberton, NC, Donald "Scooter" James, Jr. (Janice) of Gastonia, NC, Charlie James of Sarasota, FL, and Nickolas James and Amanda James Williams, both of St. Pauls, NC; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Betty C. Campbell of Loris, SC and Joy Campbell of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; and special friends & caregivers: Craig & Theresa Davis, Ashley Kientz, and Kacey & Adalyn Davis.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 2:00PM at Addy-Gre' Oaks Barn, 153 Grayson Drive, Orrum, NC.
