Mr. Donald Gene Allen, age 84, of Lumberton, NC, passed away at his daughter's home in Hillsborough, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on January 8, 1940 to the late Retha Allen.

Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur "Buck" Butler and Charlie Butler, and three sons: Danny Allen, Charles Allen, and Junior Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Allen of the home; three sons: James Allen and wife Edna of Magnolia, NC, and Billy Jones and wife Nancy and Jimmy Jones and wife Debbie, both of St. Pauls, NC; four daughters: Nancy Allen of Hillsborough, NC, Jennifer Davis and husband Dale of Lumberton, NC, Romay Allen and husband Freddie of Hillsborough, NC, and Jennie "Ding-Ding" Rackley and husband Joey of Warsaw, NC; two brothers, Ray Cox and Troy Cox and wife Peggy, both of Lumberton, NC; and special friends, Allan Campbell and Crystal Martin, both of Lumberton, NC; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roosevelt Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
