Dollie Edwards Branch age 90 of Lumberton died Tuesday June 11, 2013 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born September 6, 1922 in Robeson County. A celebration of life will be held Thursday June 13, 2013 at 4:00 PM at East Lumberton Church of God with Revs Bruce Brummfield and George Connor officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday June 12, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory Inc. in Lumberton. She was preceded in death by parents, Gurley and Dollie Bundy; her first husband, James Edwards; her second husband, Richard Branch; four sons, Carl "Joe" Edwards, Horace Edwards, Jerry Edwards, and Leo Edwards; one brother, Leo Bundy; six sisters, Grace Strickland, Pearl Pope, Annie Ruth Pittman, Thelma Branch, Carrie Cox, and Lucille Bundy. She is survived by one son, Robert Edwards and wife Gail of Lumberton; seven grandchildren, Jill Edwards, Rhonda Edwards Fortner, Kimberly Edwards Jackson, Terri Edwards McDowell, Carl Mitchell Edwards, Layla Edwards Floyd, and James Lance Edwards; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one special great niece Melissa "Missy" Britt of Lumberton; and several nieces and nephews.
