Mr. Dock "Buddy" Connor age 70 of Orrum passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville, NC. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 20, 2014 at Barnesville Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Spence, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. Burial will follow at Walters Family Cemetery in Orrum, NC. He was born May 20, 1944 in Robeson County to the late Dock Connor Sr. and Darcas Lawson Connor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Wayne Connor. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Connor of the home; two sons, Darin Connor and wife Gena of Lumberton, NC and Jamie Dock Connor and wife Shonda of Charlotte, NC; one daughter, Hope Connor of the home; three sisters, Rose Williams of Jamestown, NC, Bonnie Messer of Southport, NC, and Catherine "Mema" Walters of Orrum, NC; six grandchildren, Anna , Nathan, Mykal, Elijah, Chandler, and Kasandra. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barnesville Baptist Church building Fund 1153 Barnesville Church Rd. Orrum, NC 28369.
