Mrs. Docia Lee Hunt Oxendine, age 87 of Fairmont passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at GlenFlora of Lumberton. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Revs. Ricky Burnett, Keith Long, Terry McGirt and Lacy Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 7-9PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. She was born June 29, 1926 in Robeson County. Ms. Docia Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Callie H. Hunt; her husband, Elbert Oxendine; and a great granddaughter, Claressa Jacobs. She is survived by two sons, Glen Oxendine and wife Geraldine, and Johnny Eugene Hunt and wife Phyllis all of Fairmont; four daughters, Ann McGirt and husband Terry, and Millie Gray Hunt and husband Donnie Lee, all of Fairmont, Peggy McArthur and husband Jerry of Lumberton, and Jennifer Carter and husband Donnie of Pembroke; two brothers, Kelmer and Sanford Hunt both of Fairmont; one sister, Francis Hammonds of Orrum; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Hunt of Lumberton.
