Dila June Hardee, 79, of 78 Jerome Street, Lumberton, NC departed this life on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, James
Conley Hardee; her father, John Wesley Primrose; her mother, and stepfather, Goldie and Harry Bourn; and a sister, Anita Gardner.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, James Wesley Hardee and wife, Lisa; 2 daughters, Nina Hardee Hathorne and Anne Hardee Britt and husband, Paul all of Lumberton, NC; 6 grandchildren, Christopher Paul Britt, Melissa Kaye Britt, Kimberly Hathorne Rogers, Lindsey Hathorne Britt and husband, Chris, James Griffin Hardee and Joseph Conley Hardee; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Deloris McIntyre of Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, NC with the Rev. Chip Bass officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC and other times at the home.
