Dickey Pope Brigman was born on July 8, 1949 to the late Nina Jackson Brigman Grimsley and the late Henry Pope Brigman in Lumberton, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Jacqueline Bailey, Geraldine Grimsley, and Nancy Bass; step-father, Bradley Grimsley, and step-sister, Judy Hardee; and adopted brother, David Grimsley.

He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Teresa Brigman of Elizabethton TN, his grandsons, Gage Campbell (Abigail) of Cocoa, FL, Bryson Duncan (Paisley), and Teagan Duncan  of Elizabethton TN; and a great-grandson, Ezra Jackson Duncan. He is also survived by his sisters, Frances Ann Long of Kingsport, TN, Vicki Graham of Garner, NC, and Doris Brigman of Jacksonville, FL; and step-sister, Marsha Grimsley of Lumberton, NC; and many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Per his wishes, upon his death, Mr. Brigman was donated to Restore Life USA to help research and education.

The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice and Ivy Hall Nursing Home for all the care they provided.
