Dianne McEwen Wilkins, 66, of Lumberton, NC died on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on May 13, 1946 to the late George McEwen and the late Monis Bass McEwen. She was a graduate of Lumberton High School and Pembroke State University. She was a teacher for the Public Schools of Robeson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Monis Bass McEwen. Mrs. Wilkins is survived by her husband, Ralph Wilkins of the home; a son, Timmy Wilkins and wife, Kim of Lumberton; a daughter, Shelly Wilkins of Lumberton; a brother, Doug McEwen of Lumberton; a sister, Doris Slack and husband, Jim of Emerald Isle; and four grandchildren, Paige Wilkins, Dylan Wilkins, Mahala Cummings, and Michael Oxendine. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
