Diana Loyce Sanderson, 71, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017. She was born January 14, 1946 in Lumberton to the late Lawrence Franklin and the late Eva Mae Evans.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Luther Hampton Sanderson, Jr.; one brother, Elton Evans; her sister, Patricia Nance and husband M.C. Nance; and a brother-in-law, James Sanderson.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her husband of 52 years, Luther Hampton Sanderson, Sr.; her daughter, Lisa Sanderson Baxley; two granddaughters: Alana Blair Baxley and Sydni Brooke Baxley; three brothers: Jim Evans and wife Pauline, Milton Evans and wife Joanne, Richard "Dicky" Evans and wife Joy; three sisters-in-law: Karabeth Hammonds, Earline Sanderson, and Mamie Evans; a brother-in-law, Darryl Sanderson; and a special nephew Craig Nance and wife Teresa. She was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and church family who will also miss her dearly.

A time of visitation will take place prior to the service on Saturday, March 11, 2017, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Lumberton.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
