Derell Wayne Horne, age 44, of Lumberton, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on March 21, 1967 to Billy Smith Horne, Sr. and Patsy Nance Horne. He formerly worked as a long distance truck driver.

Mr. Horne is survived by his parents, Billy Smith Horne, Sr. and Patsy Nance Horne, both of Lumberton; his wife, Penny Horne of the home; a son, Derell Gregory Horne of the home; a daughter, Madison Horne of the home; two brothers, Billy Horne, Jr. and Bobby Horne and wife, Cindy, all of Lumberton; two nieces, three nephews and his special friends Larry Lamb and Vivian Lewis.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 4:00PM at Raynham Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Rogers, Rev. Jerry Lowery and Rev. Mitchell Nance officiating. Burial will follow at Raynham Baptist Church Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
