Dennis Aubrey Strickland, age 82, of Lumberton, NC died on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Columbus County, NC on November 11, 1927 to Charlie and Alice Jenkins Strickland. He previously worked as an Administrative Assistant for RGS Builders.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Margaret Combs Strickland.

Mr. Strickland is survived by four sons, Aubrey Dale Strickland and wife Cheryl of Johnsonville, SC, Gary Strickland and wife Karon of Fayetteville, NC, Ronnie Strickland and wife Trudi of Lumberton, NC and David Strickland and wife Debbie of Lumberton, NC; one brother, J. C. Strickland of Lumberton, NC; two sisters, Irene Brown of Fair Bluff, NC and Marie Lewis of Whiteville, NC; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday evening, March 2, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Kingdom Place in Lumberton. Burial will be on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

The family will receive friends following the service on Tuesday evening.
