Deloris Kay Hicks, 71, of Lumberton, NC, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at River's Edge Assisted Living in Lumberton, NC. She was born on September 11, 1951 to the late Rufus & Margaret Holmes.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hicks; four sisters: Katrina Holmes, Ruby Williams, Mary Sellers, and Nancy Holmes, and three brothers: Rufus "Buddy" Holmes, Ray Holmes, and Anthony "Ankie" Holmes.

She is survived by four sisters: Wanda Gail Edwards and husband Robert, Libby Kizar and husband Lonni, Mantha Harper and husband Byron and Joyce Hunt and husband H.B., all of Lumberton, NC; one brother, Rex Holmes and wife Ann of Lumberton, NC; as well as a whole host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 12:30-1:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tim Lewis officiating.
