Delois "Lois" Jeanette Bacot Rice, 76, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at High Smith Raney Hospital in Fayetteville. She was born in Robeson County, NC on October 2, 1937 to the late Clyde and Nellie Britt Bacot. She previously worked at Rice Alignment & Brake Service. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Horace Bacot, Archie Bacot, and Ferrell Bacot. Mrs. Rice is survived by her husband, H.W. Rice, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Robbie Rice of Lumberton; and special nieces, Leslie McLean, Kallee McLean, and Allison Wilkerson. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Brust officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
