Della Mae Hardin, age 93, of Lumberton, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on September 26, 1920 to the late June Harden and the late Mattie Watts Harden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sudie Turner, Thelma Harden, Minnie Hayes and Josephine Harden; her brothers, Howard Harden, James Harden, John Harden, Junious Harden and Bill Harden and a half-sister, Ila Bryant. She is survived by one sister, Bessie Harden of Lumberton; a special nephew, Mitchell Harden of Ridgecrest, CA and a host of other nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 1:00-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Dr. David Elks officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
