Deena Jackson Hester, 51, of Lumberton, NC died on Sunday, January 19, 2025 in Scotland Regional Hospice Center in Laurinburg.

She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Wayne Jackson and her son, Dustin Wayne Nance.

She is survived by her mother, Linda Davis Suggs; husband, Gary; three daughters, Carlee Nance of Elizabethtown, Caylee Willoughby and her husband Blake, also of Elizabethtown and Leigha Ferrell Hester of Lumberton; two sisters, Anita Jackson of Lumberton and Lisa Bullard and her husband Kevin of Lumberton and four grandchildren.

Deena's true passion was in helping others. She worked for over twenty years as a nurse. In her spare time, she loved to go shopping and take trips to the beach. She will truly love and missed by all that knew her.

There will be a funeral service held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Floyd Mortuary. There will be a visitation prior to the funeral from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, also on Sunday in the chapel. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Floyd Memory Gardens on Old Whiteville Rd in Lumberton.
