Mr. DC Hunt, age 77, of Fairmont, NC passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Whiteville, NC.

Mr. DC was born November 12, 1947, in Robeson County to the late Trussie Hunt and the late Lizzie Bell Oxendine Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Dick Tracy, Shelton, Robert, Rockey, Redell and Harry Lee Hunt; and two sisters, Louise Marshall and Effie Mae Hunt.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Hunt of the home; one son, Nelson Hunt, Jr. of Fairmont; two brothers, A.G. Hunt of Lumberton, and Glenn Hunt of Charlotte; three sisters: Hazel and Sandra Locklear, both of Lumberton and Linda Epps of Florida; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Cindy Williamson of Fairmont, and Melissa Locklear of Lumberton; special friends, Felton and Darlene Jones and Wanda Locklear, all of Fairmont and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2:00PM-3:00PM at McDonald Church of God, Hwy. 130 in Fairmont, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
