Mrs. Dawn Marie Hicks Godwin, age 43, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Danville, VA on May 31, 1976 to the late Kenneth David Hicks, Sr. and the late Mary Linda Talbott Hicks. She was a CNA for home health.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Godwin of the home; two children, Wesley Thomas and Brianna Hicks, both of the home; three brothers: Kenneth David Hicks, Jr. of Providence, NC, David Lee Hicks of Newton, NC, and Jackson Ray Hicks of Georgia; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Herndon of the home; and a nephew, Christopher Lee Hicks of the home.
