David Taylor, 53, of Duson, LA, formerly of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. He was born in Lumberton, NC on August 29, 1968 to the late William Abner Taylor and the late Evelyn Grey Taylor. He was an Offshore Specialist for Wood PLC. David was a devoted Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan for several decades.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Taylor.

He is survived by his daughter, Britny and her husband, Trevor McLendon, of Garner, NC; his son, David Tyler Taylor of Garner, NC; his wife, Marjorie "Sue" Fetterman of Lumberton, NC; his stepdaughter, Stacy Fetterman of Colorado; his stepson, Cruz Fetterman and his wife Brittany of Louisiana; his grandchildren: Addison and Remy McLendon of Garner, NC, and Kayla and Kyrstin Dillinger and Cruz Fetterman, Jr., all of Louisiana; his siblings, Sherry Lamb of California and Connie of Wilmington, NC; and 5 great-grandchildren. He also had 5 dogs that were very near and dear to his heart.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Pastor Charles Brust officiating.
