David Lee Simpson, 70, of Lumberton, NC died on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. He was born in Cedartown, GA on September 17, 1942 to the late James L. Simpson and the late Laura Price Simpson. He previously worked as a steelworker. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers, Robert, Jim, Gene, Raymond, and James; and three sisters, Maurine Henson, Betty Ruth Cole, and Madelyn DeGenarro. Mr. Simpson is survived by a sister, Laura Joyce Bruce of Lumberton and several nephews and nieces.
