David "Dunk" Ray Fields, 68, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at UNC Health Southeastern. He was born June 3, 1955 in Robeson County to the late Curtis Eugene Fields and Ruby Powers Fields.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Ruby Fields.

He is survived by his wife, Annie of the home; his daughters, April Fields (Randy Deaver) of Bladenboro, NC and Sheena Fields of Baltimore, MD; his brothers, Jimmy Fields of Evergreen, NC and Willie Fields (Carol) of Evergreen, NC; his sisters, Betty Williamson of St. Pauls, NC and Margie Moore of Evergreen, NC; and his grandchildren: Shawnesty, Jordan, Omaya, Nevaeh, and Zaydan.

David was a hardworking man throughout his entire life. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In his spare time, he loved to go hunting, spend time with his grandchildren, working in the yard, and riding in his classic Mustang.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC. Pastor O'neil Parker will be officiating.
