David Mitchell Pittman, age 63, of Lumberton passed away at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC on Friday, February 7, 2025. Mitchell was born in Robeson County on March 7, 1961 to the late David Lee Pittman and Annie Laura Pittman. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by a son, Charles David Pittman, and sister, Beverly Townsend.

Mitchell is survived by his wife, Chris Hayes Pittman; sons, Lee Pittman and wife April and Zachary Pittman and wife Summer; brother, Russell Pittman; sister, Janet Hester and husband Lee; grandchildren: Madilyn, Hazel, Paul, Elias, Rosalie, Eleanor, Harper, and Hayes; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February, 11, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2000 E. Elizabethtown Rd., Lumberton, NC. Burial will follow at Old Hollywood Cemetery, 401 Hollywood Dr., Lumberton, NC.
