Mr. Datris Hunt, Jr., age 73, of Fairmont, NC passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 at his home.

He was born January 31, 1951 in Robeson County to the late Datris Hunt and the late Queen Esther Hunt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Carol Hunt; two brothers, Ronnie Hunt and Michael Hunt.

He is survived by four sons, Steven Hunt of St. Pauls, NC, Stacey Stone (Natijja) of Rowland, NC, Jeffery Hunt (June Ellen) and Datris Stone both of Lumberton, NC; four daughters, Amanda Stone and Tina Hunt both of Lumberton, NC, Sarah Hunt of Charlotte, NC and Heather Hunt of TX.; two brothers, McGregory Hunt of Fairmont, NC, and Jerry Hunt of Concord, NC; four sisters, Minnie Lee Hunt and Linda Hunt both of Fairmont, NC, Janice Jacobs of Lumberton, NC and Beatrice Smith of Fayetteville, NC; one step sister, Judy Scott of Fairmont, NC; a special nephew, Phillip Hunt of Fairmont, NC; twenty-two grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one aunt, Mary Frances Hunt of Lumberton, NC; one uncle, Yancey Hunt of Laurinburg, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 1:00PM-2:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Chapel at 2:00PM.

Burial will follow in Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
