Danny Mitchell Stephens, 78, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was born September 1, 1945 in Robeson County to the late James Ennis Stephens and the late Virginia Grace Stephens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Anne Stephens; his son, Timothy Mitchell Stephens, his brother, Jerry Stephens; and five sisters, Virginia "Jean" Britt, Peggy Little, Rosa Lee Kirby, Betty Faye Willoughby, and Beth Hunter.

He is survived by his son, Danny Morris Stephens and his wife, Shelley, of Lumberton, NC; his daughter, Tonya M. Byrd of La Grange, NC; 6 grandchildren, Sarah, Jake, Mitch, Andrew, Jordan, and Danielle; and several great-grandchildren.

In his spare time, Danny loved to go fishing and go to the flea markets.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith cemetery.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Gardens of Faith Cemetery following the service.
