Danny Kaye Rogers was born on July 17, 1947 in Dillon, SC to the late Wavon Haskell Rogers and the late Millie Vivian Thompson Rogers and passed away on April 10, 2026.

He is survived by his sons, Wavon Rogers (Jennifer) and Donnie Rogers; granddaughters, Megan Davis (Justin) and Sarah Rogers, and a host of great-granddogs and cats; four sisters, Debby Sanderson of Little River, SC, Earline Smith of Norfolk, VA, Patricia Taylor (Leroy) of Leland, NC, and Jeanine Wenger of Virginia Beach, VA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Wanda Lee Rogers; and brothers, Carl Rogers, Haskell Rogers, James Rogers, and Mike Rogers.

Danny worked at Gene's Electric for 10 years until he went into business for himself and started Rogers Electric in 1984. It then turned into a second-generation business when his son Wavon followed in his footsteps. It has been a growing electrical contracting business for 42 years and has been voted #1 in Robeson County numerous times.  He used to say that what he didn't know about electrical work, you could write on the back of a stamp!

Even after his health declined, Danny still loved the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and being outside.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 2:00-3:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 3:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joshua West officiating.  Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
