Danny Hunt, 71, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Monday February 9, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born April 14, 1954 in Robeson County to the late Noah Hunt and the late Alice Hunt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers: Buck, Tommy, Tony, and Barney Hunt, and two sisters, Katy and Cathy Hunt.

Danny was a loving husband, father, and friend. He loved spending time fishing, hunting, and being with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Annie of the home; his daughter, Leslie of Lumberton; two sons, Danny, Jr. and Travis Hunt, both of Lumberton; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a special friend, Sharon; and many many friends.

A time of visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton. Following the visitation, the funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Chapel.
