Dannie Chavis, age 58, of Orrum passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.

Dannie was born December 8, 1962, in Robeson County.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Hunt; his mother, Rosie Lee Chavis; his wife, Tammy Marie Chavis; a son, Steven Locklear; and a grandson, Malachi Chavis.

He leaves to cherish is memories a son, Bryan Chavis of Orrum; two daughters, Danielle Chavis of Orrum and Amanda Chavis (Khan) of the home; nine grandchildren, Heaven, Matt, Kami, Khan, Liam, Nakaden, Aubrey, Seirra and Bryson; three brothers, Micheal Chavis, Tommy Miller and Nathaniel Hunt, Sr, all of Rowland; a sister, Vicky Chavez and husband Vicente of Georgia; a special aunt, Donna Oxendine; a special nephew, Cody Hunt and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

The funeral will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2 pm at Benson Chapel Baptist Church in Rowland. Burial will follow in Benson Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
