Daniel Lacy Tanner, age 71, of Fairmont, NC died on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at his home. He was born on October 11, 1937 to Wiley Willard Tanner, Sr and Mary McQueen Tanner in Robeson County, NC. He was a truck driver for US Food Service.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Jo Tanner of the home; Robbie Hill, Jr of Fairmont, NC, Austin Jacob and Leonel Jimenez of the home; Tammy Britt of Lumberton, NC, Tammy Hill of Fairmont, NC, Mia Jacobs and Brittany Motte both of the home; two brothers, Carl Tanner of Raleigh, NC and Robert Tanner of Dilion, SC; one sister, Ann Sanderson of Boardman, NC; and seventeen grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with Rev. K.J. Shorter officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 25, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.
