Mr. Daniel Bern Floyd, Jr., age 80, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County on September 17, 1940 to the late Daniel Bern Floyd, Sr. and the late Lois Hartness Floyd. He retired as a quality control manager at Converse Co.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Davis Floyd, and a daughter, Karen Floyd Gregory.

He is survived by his children, Daniel Bern Floyd III of Lincoln, NE and Layne Floyd Monteiro (Pete) of Lumberton, NC; nine grandchildren: P.J. Monteiro (Heather), Hannah Monteiro, David Gregory (Cassidy), Sarah Gregory, Morgan Floyd, Rian Floyd, Devan Floyd, Haydn Floyd, and Cooper Floyd; two great-grandchildren, Kylee and Alice Gregory; and a brother, Jim Floyd of Virginia.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Dr. David Elks officiating.
