Daniel "Danny" Vance Collins, age 69, of Lumberton, NC died on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on December 20, 1943 to the late A. Rupert Collins, Sr. and the late Emily O'Neal Collins. He previously worked for the Public Schools of Robeson County as a teacher, coach, and assistant principal. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lynn Croom Collins; brothers, Rupert Collins, Jr., Tom Collins, and David Collins; and sisters, Dixie Rentz and Tibby Collins. Mr. Collins is survived by sons, Steve Collins and wife Allison and Pat Collins and wife Jackie all of Lumberton and Shawn Collins and wife Kimberly of Roan Mountain, TN; a sister, Alice Collins of Red Springs; and four grandchildren, Logan, Maranda, Jenner, and Joshua Collins.
