Mr. William Dale Newberry, age 56, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 11, 1964. He was formerly employed as a records clerk for the City of Lumberton Police Dept. Most of all, he loved spending his free time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Newberry, and a sister, Sandra Lee Newberry.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Newberry of Lumberton, NC; his wife, Carrie Scott Newberry of the home; two sons, Cody Newberry and William Newberry and wife Santana, all of Lumberton, NC; his brother, David Bratcher and his wife of Couer d'Alene, ID; a sister, Sherrell Newberry-Downing of Lumberton, NC; numerous nieces and nephews on his wife's side; 5 nieces – from his brother and sisters: Courtney Arvai, Summer Downing, Lisa Banta, Teresa McKillips, and Julie Wilson; two grandchildren, Skyler Newberry and Mason Newberry; and a great-nephew, Braxton Doucet.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Gary Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
