Mr. Curtis Franklin Strickland, Sr. age 83, of Fairmont, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel with Revs. Terry Dove and Bruce Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 7:00PM until 9:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Green Strickland and Minnie Thelma Meares; a brother, Gary Talmedge Strickland; a sister, Mary Ann Strickland Williamson. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Connor Strickland of the home; one son, Curtis Franklin Strickland, Jr. of Lumberton; three daughters, Debra Strickland Leggett (Alan), Louise Strickland Grier(Mitch), and Rhonda Strickland Thompson (Bruce), all of Fairmont; two brothers, Lloyd Gerald Strickland (Beth) of Chadbourn and William Jetter Strickland (Glenda) of Springfield, SC; six grandchildren, "Tripp" Strickland, Al Leggett, Jud Leggett, David Thompson, Leslie Heasley, and Ashley Grier; seven great grandchildren.
