Mrs. Connie Melvin Lowery, age 70, 0f Lumberton, NC, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at The Carrolton of Lumberton. She was born in White Oak, NC on July 17, 1953 to the late Winfred C. & Frances Melvin. Prior to retirement, she was the district manager for The Robesonian .

She cherished her family, and she enjoyed trips to the beach and loved horses. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and his music.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Samuel Johnson, and her great-nephew, Jude Mills.

She is survived by her husband, Britton Lowery of the home; her only daughter, Brittany Lowery (Brian) of the home; her granddaughters, Nevaeh Locklear and Christina Lowery, both of the home; her brother, Danny Melvin (Donna) of White Oak, NC; and her sisters, Rose Johnson (Wayne) of Bladenboro, NC and Patricia Gooden (David) of Elizabethtown, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Sanford Chavis and Pastor Mark Simmons officiating.

Following the service, the family invites loved ones to join them for a meal and time of fellowship at Eastwood Holiness Church, 1926 McPhail Road in Lumberton, NC.
