Colleen Davis Lamb, age 99, of Lumberton, NC passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at her home. Ms. Lamb was born in Greensboro on January 6, 1926 to William Lee Davis and Eva Frances Prevatte Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Roy Maurice Lamb, brothers; Alton Watts Davis and Bahnson Davis, sisters; Inez Jackson, Margaret Stallings, Julia McLaurin, great-grandson; Brandon Dixon.

Ms. Lamb was better known to her family and friends as Nanny. Ms. Lamb was looking to celebrating her 100th birthday in January. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. She will be remembered by many for her work as a seamstress at Virginia Crabtree and Sunshine House. She carried her love of sewing by making clothes for her children and making crafts for her family in later years. Ms. Lamb loved her family and treasured every moment spent together. She was a member of Godwin Heights Baptist Church and had a special love for her home church, Cedar Grove Baptist, where she made Jesus Lord of her life and met her husband.

Ms. Lamb is survived by one son, Tim Lamb and wife, Cyndi of Lumberton, NC; five daughters, Frances Smith and husband, Tony, Gwyn Smith, Polly Britt, Jennifer Rogers and husband, Wavon, all of Lumberton, NC and Peggy Moore of Winston-Salem, NC; nine grandchildren, Shannon Stone, Steven Pait, Jody Pait, Benji Smith, Chelsey Beasley, Allison Branch, Randy Lamb and Staci Lamb and fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one on the way.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
