It is with great sadness that the family of Cody Jacob Lindsey announces his passing on Saturday, January 21, 2018 at the age of twenty three.  Cody's life will seem too short to many but those who were touched by him will always carry a piece of him with them.

He was employed by Davis Timber.  A perfect job for him with his tongue as sharp as an axe he could chop down more than a tree.  He knew how to do his job before he knew it was work while riding on the truck with his Pa Pa Earl.  He knew what he was going to do when he was five years old and he accomplished his goal and we are all proud of him.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Arbiedella Britt; a special uncle, H.L. (Pa Pa) Britt; and his uncle, Terry Britt.

Cody is survived by his parents, Tonya Porter and Gerald Hunt; brothers Jacobie, Gerald, Jr.; sister, Ashley; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special aunt, Tabitha whom he loved dearly; and special friend, Jennifer Walters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate assistance in offsetting Cody's final arrangements.
