Clyde Prevatte, age 87, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. He was born in Lumberton, NC on September 4, 1936 to the late Robert Edward and Letha Mae Strickland Prevatte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Lou Lamb Prevatte.

Mr. Prevatte was an accomplished musician even though he never had a lesson. His daughter, Glory, was his main caretaker for the past few years.

Mr. Prevatte is survived by his daughters: Veronda Prevatte, Molly Faulkner, Glory Prevatte, Deanna Yarbrough; his sons Clyde Prevatte Jr., and Charlie Prevatte, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on October 30, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 East 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 31 at 1:00 PM at New Hollywood Cemetery, 401 Hollywood Dr, Lumberton, NC, 28358.
