Clyde Burney, Jr., age 54, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on February 28, 1959 to the late Clyde Burney Sr. and Mary Ann Willis Burney. Mr. Burney is survived by a step-son, Al Ross Hunt of Lumberton; three daughters, Nita Rose Burney, Johanna Flantos and husband, Elton and Helen Sissy McNeil all of Lumberton; the mother of his children, Dianna Norton of Lumberton; two brothers, Harold "Pete" Burney and Jeffery Dale Burney both of Lumberton; three sisters, Hilda Branch of Lake View, SC, Betty Burney of Bladenboro and Doris Burney of the home; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Warwick and Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton. Visitation will be Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton.
