Clifford Beamon Watts, age 92, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on June 20, 1928 to the late Earnest J. Watts and the late Lillie Smith Watts. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and from J.C. Penney as a floor supervisor.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his previous wife, Sara Watts; three brothers: Rexford Watts, Earnest J. Watts, Jr., and Randolph Watts; and two sisters, Vashti Paul and Doris Feldner.

He is survived by his wife, Annette T. Watts of the home; four sons: Ernest R. Watts and wife Wanda of Rockingham, NC, Michael C. Watts and wife Rebecca of Wake Forest, NC, Rexford B. Watts of Loris, SC, and Walter W. Watts and wife Brenda of Conway, SC; a daughter, Karen A. Watts; three step-sons: Tony Howell and wife Cindy of Wilmington, NC, Jack W. Howell and wife Anita of Advance, NC, and Benjie Howell and wife Christie of Fuquay-Varina, NC; a step-daughter, Tammy Howell of Lumberton; two brothers, Ervin Watts of Goldsboro, NC and Garland Watts of Lumberton, NC; two sisters, Marilyan Thomas of Raeford, NC and Sandra Maples of Lumberton, NC; along with eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Blake Dodd and Pastor Mark Meadows officiating. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow the service at Floyd Memory Gardens.
